Schooling Shows For years Cedar Lodge
has participated in several schooling shows every spring and
fall. These shows, either hosted by Cedar Lodge or a near by
stable, serve as an excellent chance to not only get Cedar Lodge
stables up and coming novice riders out for their first group of
shows, but as a chance to give the stable's young horses their
first experience at a horse show. These shows have become
especially popular with our campers as well. Campers that show
with us during the summer and want to continue showing with us
year around, often come up on weekends and continue with our show
team. Already familar with our Cedar Lodge horse, campers can
request what horse they would like to show, and if suitable and
available, the match is made. Campers usually come up on
Friday night, take a lesson on Saturday, or go with Cedar Lodge
Stables to the horse show to school and spend the rest of the
time on Saturday preparing for the horse show. Most shows are on
Sunday and gauranteed to be a full day, from early in the morning
until mid afternoon. Don't expect them to drive home; they'll be
sleeping! ![]() Dates for 2008:May 4: Huntington Valley Stables schooling horse show
