In an effort to keep up with our ever increasing horse and vaulting program, in 2007 we offered a special "Vaulting Lovers Specialty week" to our 8th week of camp. It was such a success that we have decided to make it a permanent fixture. The week that it is offered may change by the program will not. It will stay an extensive week of vaulting geared for the serious vaulting campers that want more time to really work on improving their vaulting. This week will include:

  • Pairs2 hours daily of vaulting horse work, 5 days a week
  • 1 hour daily of vaulting on barrel or horse, 5 days a week
  • 1 hour of vaulting guaranteed on 6th day. May be more by request.
  • 2-3 hours daily, 5 days a week of vaulting related classes like:
-Gymnastics
-Dance
-Music interpretation
-Strength training
-Free style development

Additional classes in vaulting will cover:
-Team building
-Compulsories to the left AND right
-Team free styles
-Two Phase Free styles

RachelAs you see, we have plenty of places to go with the week,  and just 6 days to do it in! Campers must be approved by the Cedar Lodge vaulting staff to qualify for this week and basically must be confident trot vaulters that are of the level of competing. The emphasis of this week will be on developing and readying vaulters for competition. If interested, campers must sign up in advanced. They can do so by contacting Cedar Lodge and asking about this program.
