It all started when Ashley was in search of her next project horse. Amy ended up deciding to apply to New Vocations Thoroughbred Adoption and they started looking for the next young horse to add to the string. Ashley soon found Macho and they headed down to Lexington to pick him up. If you know Amy, often if she goes with a trailer someplace to buy a horse she often doesn’t come back with only 1 horse….When they got there they looked at another horse by the name of Mac and decided to purchase both 3 year old ottbs and bring them home.
Macho took a bit of time to settle as he is young and baby-like and unsure of his surroundings adding a bit of spice to rides. He has now had two show seasons under his belt and Ashley plans to add another year if he needs it. He is more of the hunter type and is still learning to use his long legs. He jumps very well and will hopefully make a higher level jumping horse for our show kids!
